If you stay on grid after launching your bomb you're probably better off killing yourself with it. The guy you're bombing wont get a killmail that way.

Sentries are the same size as heavy drones (25m3). They are mainly for battleship sized hulls, although some BCs can field a few (and I think the vexor can do one or two...). In general though they aren't worth it unless you can use all 5 of them ...
